white or in varying tones of only one colour.

Competition subject guidelines 2019-20
1. Open – projected only.
Any subject, colour or monochrome.
2. Open – prints only.
Any subject, two sections, colour and monochrome.
3. Emotion – projected only.
Images should show emotion on the faces, or as body
language, of people or animals, but excluding general
crowd scenes. Colour or monochrome.
4. Most commercially viable – projected only.
Any subject which could be used in advertising, brochures,
postcards, calendars, book illustrations etc. Colour or
monochrome.
5. Subtle humour – projected only.
Any subject that will raise a titter! Colour or monochrome.
6. On the Farm - projected only,
Any subject which can be found on an agricultural farm,
colour or monochrome. Exclusions are fish farms, wind
farms, health farms etc.
7. The Built Environment – projected only.
Land-based, man-made structures such as buildings, roads
and bridges. Inclusion of other built objects such as ships,
aircraft, cars, trains etc., must be incidental.
8. Landscapes and seascapes of Argyll – projected only.
Generally natural landscapes and seascapes demonstrably
in Argyll. Any non-natural features should not be dominant.
