Competition Guidelines

Club competitions are open to subscribed members only.

A maximum of 8 projected images from each member can be entered for all competitions except for Open 2 which is Prints only, where up to 8 prints can be entered for Colour and up to 8 prints for monochrome. 

Projected images

Projected images should be saved in JPEG format ONLY with a maximum width of 1400px and a maximum height of 1050px; the DPI setting is unimportant. Digital manipulation is allowed unless otherwise stated. Please name your files with the title, member number and letter from a-h, e.g. Oban sunset 99b.jpg

Projected images should be emailed to the Competition Secretary - maurice@arduaine.plus.com - before the end of the hand-in date, or they may miss the competition. 

Prints

All prints must be mounted. Minimum mount size 7” x 5” (18cm x 13cm); maximum mount size 20” x 16” (50cm x 40cm).

Prints from both digital & film are accepted. Please ensure that all adhesive tape is firmly stuck to the back of the prints to avoid damage to other prints in transit. 

Please label on rear of print as follows: title - member’s number plus a - h for colour and plus i - p for monochrome placed on top left corner of image. e.g. Oban sunrise 99h.

Assuming the print was done from a digital image please also provide a digital image in JPEG format (as for projected images) so that winning prints can appear on the website.

Mounted prints should be given to the Competition Secretary on the hand-in night. 

No watermarking or copyright is allowed on any judging image.
